Preview Birds & Batteries New “Up To No Good” EP Out On Eightmaps November 17, 2009
It’s obvious after listening to Birds & Batteries that they have a talent assuring everyone that no matter how crazy things get one thing’s for sure….it’s allllll gooooood. A balanced mix of pych, synth-funk, americana, and electro best describes the smooth funk styles. Their simple yet piercing drum beats is enough to entice even the most hardcore die hard hip hop head to bob and sway. “Sneaky Times” is a nicely produced deeply track that remains simple yet creative use of silence and space that seems to flow well with the hypnotic vocal layer – a style you can expect throughout the album. The bass lines are enough to make you feel like a total bad ass while bumping it hard in the car. Highly Recommended
