Intuition recently blew heads off at Low End Theory Los Angeles where hoards of hip hop fans were treated to the classic sound of dusty groove sampled beats laced with a barrage of prophetic rhyme poetry. It’s the type of sound I tend to appreciate in midst of all the wobbling bass lines and laser sound inspired electronics. Yesterday his sophomore album Girls Like Me was released world wide in digital formats through Nocando’s new imprint Hellfyre Club joining Daddy Kev’s growing Alpha Pup family which includes the likes of Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder, Daedelus’ Magical Properties, matthewdavid’s Leaving Records, and Brian Simon’s Non Projects. The entire album is SOLID and features guest appearances by Nocando, Slug, Travis Brown, Raquel Rodriguez, and Ex-I. I don’t say this often but hear this….this is some real hip hop shit right here. I didn’t even hit the skip track button at all on this one. Highly Recommended.
