Adult Swim Premiers New Flying Lotus Single – Between Friends
Adult Swim just premiered Flying Lotus’ new single on their 2012 Singles Program. The track entitled Between Friends features Earl Sweatshirt and Captain Murphy and a nice chilled out hip hop beat from the man. Flying Lotus dials it back a notch to let the vocal work shine through but you can’t help but focus on the background beat. It definitely maintains that classic Flying Lotus sound but he seems to take on a simplified production style. The artist revealed on a recent Mary Anne Hobbs interview that he took on a more focused and quieter approach for his new album, allowing more dynamics throughout the parts of each song.
