Captain Planet – Bokazo
Captain Planet (Bastard Jazz), an acclaimed proponent of African, West Indie, Indian, Latin and Far Eastern sounds has been digging relentlessly, aiming to capture the magic found within the grooves of dusty vinyl records and proclaim it for the world. He has succeeded in incorporating each unique characteristic into his own style of production known as Gumbo Funk. This unique sound can be heard in various pieces of work, from his own releases, to timeless remixes featuring the likes of Vieux Farka Toure, Alice Russel, and the Pimps of Joytime. In his latest project, a cassette release entitled Mystery Trip Vol. 1, CP brings out the joy and energy with the intent of driving dance floors wild. The track Bokazo does just that.
