Lord Knows lives in a hazy glory. The song, like the Spanish Moss dangling from a Southern Oak, effortlessly sways as on a lazy spring afternoon. The first offering from Dum Dum Girl’s new EP – the appropriately titled – End of Daze is an honest and resigned look-back at a relationship. Lead singer Dee Dee remarks bluntly “We still can’t find to end of this / Cause every time you think of me /The black covers what might be”. Introspection in every day life is hard enough, to have that self-discovery in the shadow of a failing relationship is the kind of honesty that makes music great. Be sure to stay tuned for more – End of Daze is out 9.25.12.
