Flying Lotus‘ latest single from the upcoming album Until The Quiet Comes arrives in the form of an animated alternate universe directed by Cyriak. This reality very much reflects our own in which robots like clock work, join in unison to create and destroy for purposes unknown. Soon enough one begins to over consume and transforms into an enormous robot monster which proceeds to devastate everything in its path. Eventually it’s contained and reveals that all hope is not lost as a beautiful evolution emerges in the midst of all the chaos and destruction. The perfect soundtrack for all of this would indeed be Putty Boy Strut, a playful electronic production meshing synth melodies, drums, and Thundercat’s bass, all seeming to come alive with their own twisted personalities.
