The Duluth, Minnesota duo The Murder Of Crows comprising of Alan Sparhawk (guitar/vocals) and Gaelynn Lea (violin/vocals) has released an impressive seven track EP entitled Imperfecta. It is a beautifully produced atmospheric offering of slow building live instrument recordings brimming with immeasurable depth and soul grabbing warmth. This isn’t the type of album you can just skim through. This is a series of recordings that deserves to be played on audiophile grade equipment at the comfort of one’s home with no distractions. I believe in the healing properties hidden within frequencies of sound and if one were to describe music as a drug, this would be the cure all.
