Living in Los Angeles is a double edged sword. Most of the time you’re too busy sifting through the city’s pool of passion and culture that you start missing out on what’s right in front of you. Lately I’ve had the pleasure of exploring the seedy streets of LA in a more kaleidoscopic way. This Mixtape was derived from those fresh new feelings along side the taste of fall and things that come with the season. I tried to create this atmospheric feeling of falling completely head over heels for the city, or a person, or whatever mixed in with the vulnerable nature Fall always seems to bring. The only way to really explain this mixtape is the new, “I like you so much and I can’t stop dancing or thinking about when I’ll see you next” feeling. I made sure to also incorporate the old school atmosphere of the Temptations mixed in with some electro/disco vibes where your shoulders start to move and you swear you already know the words. TV Girl’s new single Baby You Were There alongside with Monster Rally’s samba track Cuban Velvet puts you in the perfect “it’s October, and I’m walking on a cloud” kind of mood. Enjoy it with a nice fall brew or snuggled in bed with someone to keep you warm.
