Tame Impala Releasing 7″ Single Feels Like We Only Go Backwards
A few days ago I posted a secret soundcloud album stream of Tame Impala’s upcoming full length release entitled Lonerism via Facebook and pointed out my album favorite Feels Like We Only Go Backwards. It was recently announced as the lead off single which will be available on 7″ vinyl featuring remixes from Madlib and Memory Tapes. The album was composed entirely with various instruments in Tame Imapale’s studio and utilizes various outboard gear to mangle every sound and expose its truly grimy flavor. This track becomes the album’s apogee and underlines the genius behind the group’s vision for psychedelic hypnotherapy. From the first listen it’s not difficult to imagine that it was designed specifically for Madlib to mangle. The 7″ single is due out in November.
