Archeology Set to Release New Album Memorial March 16, 2010

Once in a while an album like this comes my way. I wish it happened every time but life is not perfect as many of you already know. After the first ten seconds I already knew that this was going to be amazing record. It’s even more difficult to write my thoughts about something THIS good. That said, I believe this record is going to be HUGE.
Welcome Jason Davis and Daniel Walker, the duo behind Archeology. Their first full length entitled Memorial will be debuting in March this year. “Memorial reaches deep both conceptually and stylistically, exploring those “back-stories” with topics from alcoholism to lost faith, wrapped in the band’s own unique style.” Jason and Daniel both had a fairly religious upbringing with their fathers being Baptist ministers and where hymns were a huge part of their every day lives. You hear that influence shine through in their music. Walker and Davis met while pursuing separate music careers in Washington State, immediately striking a friendship based on a healthy disdain of where they had been and their shared fascination with the actual science of Archeology.
This album has definitely been a refreshing listening experience. You can just feel a constant positive energy flow and a recurring sense of spiritual healing emanating from each song. Highly Recommended

“White Walls strays somewhat from the theme of the album, delving into the issue of urban development through the eyes of a homeless family illegally living in a historical structure which is set to be demolished.”

“Hunter touches on the anger that is felt by an individual who realizes the world built up around them by friends and loved ones is only a ruse. The song declares a state of agnostic resolve that refuses to dogmatically adhere to a single philosophy.”
