On Wednesday January 9th, Low End Theory combines forces with Violence Recordings to bring you the most amazing drum-and-bass lineup to hit Los Angeles in years: The Upbeats, Tech Itch, Hive & Gridlok (B2B) and Vicious Circle. All residents are also on deck for this special evening. Now, please be aware that Airliner is STILL going through zoning issues with L.A. city, so the outdoor stage will be CLOSED until further notice. For this evening, Violence Recordings will take over the upstairs, while the Low End Theory residents rock the downstairs lounge. An epic night:

Since announcing their arrival on the drum-and-bass scene in 2004 — creating more of a shockwave than a mere splash — with their self-titled debut album, Wellington, New Zealand producers The Upbeats have continued to forge an impressive reputation as both masters of their craft and the future of drum¹n¹bass. In 2007, The Upbeats take a new step in their journey to the top of global dance music with the release of their sophomore album on prominent label Bad Company Presents and embarking on a world tour with BC stars Vegas and Maldini.

Back in 1991, Mark Caro a.k.a. Tech Itch was based in Birmingham, DJing at local parties and starting out on the production trail with a very limited set up. It wasn’t too long before Mark had the desire to set up his own label, so he launched Tech Itch Recordings, which resulted in his stratospheric rise in the drum-and-bass world. Since then, Tech Itch has released over 50 projects on his own label, and earned a reputation as one of the world’s top drum-and-bass producers.
