Bark Psychosis “From What Is Said To When It’s Read”

barkpsychosis.jpg

Check out Bark Psychosis. They’re a band from East London formed back in 1986. Their music focuses on several musical style elements including minimalism, psychedelia, cool jazz and post-punk. This track entitled From What Is Said To When It’s Read Bark Psychosis From What Is Said To When Its Read is a favorite of mine. You can find it on the Codename: Dustsucker Bark Psychosis From What Is Said To When Its Read album. The album itself features an amazing array of experimental yet musical variety of instrumental tracks.

GB “A Special Time And Place”

gb.jpg

Here’s the first track GB A Special Time And Place off GB’s newest album Healing Tones: Inverted Listening GB A Special Time And Placeby GB (Gifted And Blessed). I truly believe in the healing qualities found in music. Sound waves are all around us. Frequencies of varying range have the power to shape matter into simple and complex shapes. What you listen to can directly affect your way of life, your being, your current state. What is your current state at this moment? Let it be nothing. That is exactly how I feel when I listen to this album. Sit back, listen through your best quality speakers/headphones and Just BE.

Album Info
From: http://giftedandblessed.blogspot.com

Inverted Listening is the first installment of the three-part Healing Tones series. The intent with this recording was to use a minimal amount of tonal synthesis in a cyclical fashion without a beat to be used as sort of a cleansing process for the noosphere. Inverted Listening will be available for the new year on or before January 24, 2009.

Youngblood Brass Band “Nuclear Summer” (Instrumental)

ybbisthatariot Youngblood Brass Band Nuclear Summer (Instrumental)

There’s Rag Time, Swing, Bebop, Cool, Hard Bop, Latin, Free and many other styles, but have you ever heard of…Riot Jazz?

Originally from Wisconsin, Youngblood Brass Band is a nine-piece ensemble that deems themselves purveyors of a sound that simply cannot be classified under any other name. With a New Orleans brass band base and handfuls of other influences thrown into the mix, the horns section, percussionists, sousaphonist, and emcee will surely get your body moving.

While their sound can be raucous and rambunctious, it has to be noted that the band has a soft spot for community based musical education and maintains an independent spirit through the Layered Music label.

When Youngblood Brass Band is disturbing the peace, it’s hard not to join their rally.

In 2007, The Upbeats take a new step in their journey to the top of global dance music with the release of their sophomore album on prominent label Bad Company Presents and embarking on a world tour with BC stars Vegas and Maldini.

Since then, Tech Itch has released over 50 projects on his own label, and earned a reputation as one of the world’s top drum-and-bass producers.

Tough, propulsive, forged out of both the traditional sampled aesthetic and leading sound designs of contemporary drum and bass, the sound of Hive today bears the imprint of an artist searching for new ways to reinterpret the music by his own lights. Neither a retrospective purist, nor a follower of fashion, Hives music, his DJing, and his label strike a steely, inspiring balance, hewing closely to a tight creative vision that has propelled him into the forefront of drum-and-bass.
