My name is Conrad and this is my music blog where I’ll be featuring events, streaming music, free MP3 downloads, music videos, music industry news, and podcasts. I’m working with a team of amazing people who all have musical backgrounds and are helping to take Deftune to the next level. Our vision is to build Deftune from the ground up and become a major source for great independent music. Every song uploaded is a personal recommendation by me and other Deftune contributors. If you like a particular song you can click on a link to purchase the artist’s music directly from I-Tunes or Amazon.com. Each purchase will help the artists get paid and also contribute to Deftune’s growth.
I’ll also be posting up music here that I’ve composed myself. I have an extensive musical background. I started playing the piano at age 6 and had continued on with private lessons until my senior year of High School. I started DJing back in 1997 with an emphasis in scratching. I made my first beat in 1999 with my first computer using a program called Fast Tracker. I’m currently enrolled at SAE Institute of Technology in Los Angeles taking their part time Audio Engineering program. I hope to finish in a year then I plan on moving to Oxford to complete their 2 year B.S. Audio Engineering requirement. My primary agenda is to dive into the UK’s amazing music scene and see where it takes me. My main goal is to learn sound design, work as a composer, producer, and sound engineer. My main focus will be creating and distributing my own original compositions, scoring for film, commercials, etc. I hope to start up my own company in the music industry.
